Introducing our new IT Consultant
George Demirev has recently joined King Recruit as IT Recruitment Consultant heading up our new IT division. George has over 8 years’ experience in Sales and Management and has built and developed relationships with over 100 key European clients and worked with suppliers from all continents.
George brings with him an extensive background in tech and professes a love of fixing PC’s and gadgets as well as buying them!
Not only does George talk tech he’s fluent in English, Bulgarian, Italian and has studied Korean. Outside of work hours George is a passionate foodie and a keen Exeter City Supporter!
George’s first 3 weeks!
From the moment I entered King Recruit’s office for an interview, it was evident that the team were friendly, welcoming and professional. The first interview was extensive and my second interview consisted of a presentation. This showed me that King Recruit are really investing time into finding the right candidate and I was thrilled when Helen rang to offer me the position!! Because of my love of all things tech, I wanted to return to the industry and I am loving it. I have really fitted in with the amazing support from the team. Getting up for work in the morning is easy when you love what you do.
What have I been working on?
From Day 1, I was given responsibility which was very refreshing. Training in a new environment “hands-on” is the best approach in my opinion. I am working on recruiting 6 positions from Senior Developers through to Tech Leads, QA Leads and Junior Developers. I am a very sociable person so the client and candidate interaction comes naturally to me. King Recruit put time and effort into finding the right candidates, so, everyone I speak to is talented, ambitious and eager to find their dream career.
What are you looking forward to – I am really looking forward to changing people’s lives. At the moment I’m talking to candidates and arranging interviews, but what I’m really looking forward to is making the call to tell the candidate they have been offered the job. I myself have been in similar situations and when you really want a job there is no better feeling than when the call comes in and you are given the good news.
Doing this for people on a daily basis is just amazing and who doesn’t like making people happy for a living!?
My King Recruit Highlights
Travelling to see our biggest client on my second day. It creates the personal relationship I wish to build for on for the IT Division. My principles have always been to put myself in my client’s shoes and perhaps this is why I was successful in my previous position. I believe this is why I will be successful in my current position as well. I care about the clients and the candidates, I like to know them personally and meet them face to face. I want to emulate King Recruit’s aim to act as a true business partner and aid business growth by placing the right candidates.
Recruitment in general – There are many people who are “non-believers” in recruitment and I must admit I was one of them until I tried it myself. There will always be the need for recruitment and when a business is outpacing its growth and the right candidate could not be currently ON the market it could take weeks if not months to find them. This slows growth and in return it creates frustration. As a Manager and a Sales person in the past, once I realised this, the growth of the business was continuous.
Recruitment is a full-time job and busy business owners and hiring managers need our help more than ever to engage and source the right people!
