Application Support Analyst
Due to recent increase in funding an exciting opportunity has arisen with one of the top 100 companies in the UK who are looking for an Application Support Analyst to join an already successful team.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role of Technical Application Support Analyst is responsible for managing the resolution of application and system issues that arise across the business.
You will become an expert in the applications assigned to you with responsibility for identifying problem trends, planning application upgrades, installation of new releases and migration to new systems. You may also get involved in data analytics and writing reports and specifications for IT projects.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years experience working within an IT technical or application support role, preferably in the legal sector. You will have a strong focus on client service with excellent verbal and written communication skills being able to explain complex ideas to those with limited IT and systems knowledge.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and Office (including MS Office 365) is essential. You will have experience using cloud-based solutions such as Microsoft Azure and be able to show good knowledge of deploying and project managing upgrades and new solutions. You will have knowledge of web based technologies including Microsoft IIS and excellent working knowledge of MS Active Directory and Group Policy. Microsoft Windows Server administration experience is necessary along with knowledge of Windows 10 configuration and deployment. SQL database administration and query skills would be advantageous but not essential.
You will need to be confident working in a team environment, able to adapt to changing situations and willing to learn new skills.
