Job Description

The Opportunity

This is essentially an MD position – for a niche business with a small team! As Director of Digital and Operations, we’re looking for a digitally focussed, results-driven leader to join the board, lead the team and most importantly, increase the client base and revenue via digital marketing to drive a successful sale of the business in 2 to 3 years.


The successful appointee is likely to have a good understanding of SaaS (Software as a Service) with a strong digital marketing focus and previous expertise or strong exposure to a business exit, business sale or acquisitions.

We’re looking for a passionate, innovative and driven individual who has well-defined leadership skills and an ability to ‘seize the opportunity’ and drive business opportunities and revenue.

At the core of your role will be driving digital sales and revenue streams, steering the company in the most profitable direction, identifying and driving overall business opportunities.

The ideal candidate will be a commercially driven professional who has a strong skillset in sales and developing business strategies. Very strong in leading operations and teams together with being process and project minded.


YOUR ROLE – DIRECTOR – DIGITAL AND OPERATIONS

Job Description

  • A board position that will involve defining the strategy for the business through to a successful sale in 2-3 years time
  • Creating opportunities and digital strategies to maximise the free online software product – suitable for the target audience both in the UK and globally.
  • Day to day running of business operations and leading a small team
  • Play a lead role in tenders and contract negotiation
  • Identify and implement new business opportunities
  • Prepare and manage sales forecasting and company projections
  • Oversee the company’s financial performance, investments, and other business ventures
  • Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of the teams, providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance
  • Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth

Your Skills and Expertise

  • The ideal candidate will currently be in a senior position with a strong background in maximising revenue opportunities online
  • A good understanding of SaaS (Software as a Service) with a strong digital marketing focus and previous expertise or strong exposure to a business exit, business sale or acquisitions.

  • Ideally a qualification or significant expertise in digital marketing
  • Good ability to carefully evaluate and analyse opportunities
  • Proven management and leadership experience
  • Demonstrable experience in developing strategic and business plans
  • Strong understanding of financial controls and measures of performance
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field; MSc/MA will be preferred
  • Innovative, Creative, ‘big picture’ thinker
  • You’ll be required to do UK travel
