Senior Consultant / Search Consultant Opportunities
Seeking experienced Recruiter/Search Consultant(s) who are passionate about hiring in the finance, digital, tech, (including contracting, fintech, or medtech), sales, or executive space. We would also welcome applications from generalist recruiters wanting to specialise.
King Recruit has recently received Private Equity backing from James Caan CBE’s award-winning investment firm; Recruitment Entrepreneur.
We’ve evolved from an organically grown business to a fast-paced ‘scale-up recruitment and search firm, that is set to dominate the Southwest region with further plans for UK & International expansion.
Since its inception, King has gone from strength the strength moving into offices at Pynes Hill in Exeter and placing over 250 people in careers. In January 2021 we expanded King Recruit with the addition of King Executive to assist clients with more strategic, high-performing positions, placing business leaders into leading businesses so that they can achieve a high-performance culture and superior results.
In partnership with Recruitment Entrepreneur (RE), we now plan to develop the group even further with the addition of King Tech, King Sales, King Finance, and King Digital over the next 12 months. We plan to expand our Exeter operation and also open a Bristol office.

•The Opportunity: In this exciting position, you will hold responsibility for growing and developing a specialist division. We already have core clients and candidates depending on your discipline.
•Business Development: With a sizeable client and candidate CRM database across the Southwest – you will utilise this as well as your resourcefulness to develop your own healthy sales pipeline, meeting, winning, and developing clients.
•Assignments/Campaigns: Achieving instructions/ retained search on client assignments and campaigns, managing them from cradle to grave through the entire recruitment or search process.
•Professionals/Candidates: Sourcing talent and building an active candidate database/community. King Recruit also works by presenting targeted introductions of exceptional candidates to our client base and therefore identifying and cultivating a key talent pool/candidate community is equally crucial to success.
•Marketing: The role will involve targeting your audiences with writing great content, blogging, social media, demonstrating a ‘thought-leader’ approach, networking, events, and newsletters.
•You: Positioning yourself as a ‘go-to’ recruiter who understands your niche, developing your role and future potential and skills within the business.
•Business Plan: Together we will set a business plan for your division/specialism
•A good foundation of experience as a successful Recruiter or Head-Hunter either in one of our specialisms or looking to specialise! Even if that’s 12 months or 10 years!
•You will have a demonstrable track record in achieving consistent sales revenue and results coupled with good B2B experience.
•Driving and growing a division is at the heart of this position, and therefore we are seeking someone who has the tenacity, drive, and commitment to achieve great results.
•Good local knowledge of the Southwest would be of strong benefit as would a network of good contacts in your chosen specialism/sector.
•A genuine interest and thirst for emerging trends.
•Strong interviewing skills ideally with a formal relevant recruitment qualification.
•We are seeking someone with a growth mindset, strong self-motivation, energy, enthusiasm, tenacity, resilience, confidence, and good commercial awareness.
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, gravitas, ‘an influencer’ and well-networked
•Proven written skills essential, with a highly organised and methodical approach.
•Good knowledge of social media and the use of modern resourcing tools.
•Working with CRM / Databases and data management essential.
•Excellent IT skills including MS Office: Word and Excel.
•MS PowerPoint and producing presentations or key business information would be beneficial.
•Driving license and own car
•Desirable: Experience senior hiring and specialist positions/sectors or executive search.
•Desirable: A business degree or similar, coupled with good business / commercial acumen.

• Salary: Basic salary plus OTE. A competitive basic salary is offered and will depend on your experience.
• Full-Time position. 37.5 hours per week, with the option of 2 days working from home
